It was always a pleasure to see our fellow runners experienced a different kind of running event. An event which promotes camaraderie which other races can never offer and something that we ourselves enjoy staging yearly. Days after FAT ASS, I could not access my internet at the office and had to wait until I got home. It was Don who gave me some initial feedback from the runners. I could tell he was happy based on his SMS. Honestly, I myself reread (paulit ulit) your Facebook accounts and blogs of those who joined the event. To say it was heartwarming is an understatement.
However, let us not lose sight of the invaluable support given by our volunteers. These were the people who selflessly provided their time, resources and energy (without asking anything in return) and put up with lack of sleep so that all of you would have one unique experience. Please thank Boss Red and wife Rinna, Albert, Yazmin, Eugene, Noel and wife Precy, Lucy, Shower, Boni, Bert and Darwin (two of our utility personnel), CDC people, donors (both known and anonymous), et.al. Without them, I do not think the result will be the same.
Based on your reaction and feedback after the event, we are happy to note that we have attained what we originally set out to do. And for that, MARAMING SALAMAT and CONGRATULATIONS!
We will definitely see you again and more runners next year!
Cheers,
Don and Jon (who lost weight during the event :)
